Welcome – I am Brian Carver of 1st Quality Home Inspections. I specialize in performing residential property inspections.
1st Quality Home Inspections will accompany you through a walkthrough and inspection of the home, townhouse or condo you’re interested in buying, and assess its condition using our multi-point home inspection checklist.
Seller’s Pre-Listing Inspection
Some homeowners want to make repairs to their house before they put it on the market and will make repairs using their inspection report as a baseline reference. Please understand that most buyers will still want to perform their own inspection even if the seller has already had an inspection done.
11 Month Inspection
Most builders offer a one-year warranty on a new home. 1st Quality performs a full home inspection before the builder’s warranty expires. Just because your home is new, doesn’t necessarily mean it is defect-free. At your 11-month mark, take advantage of your last chance to take advantage of your warranty!
New Construction Inspection
Newly constructed homes need an objective third-party to inspect. The city or county inspectors often don’t catch everything, but 1st Quality Home Inspections is trained to have a keen eye for anything that could compromise a new home’s lifetime or safety.
Mold testing can provide you with peace of mind by knowing whether or not you have a mold problem in your home or business. If mold is found, you can take steps to address it before it causes any health problems or damage to your property.
Water quality testing involves analyzing a water sample to determine the presence and concentration of various chemical, physical, and biological characteristics. These characteristics can include things like pH, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and the presence of contaminants such as heavy metals or pathogens.
The biggest benefit of radon testing is peace of mind. Radon has no smell, taste, or color, and beyond contributing to the development of lung cancer, radon exposure has no symptoms that can be identified by a doctor. That means a radon test is the only way to make sure your home has a safe level of radon.
Log Home Inspections
Log homes are susceptible to unique problems such as log rot, separation of logs, insect infestation, foundation problems, roof problems, and electrical and plumbing problems. It is important to hire a qualified log home inspector to perform the inspection and review the report carefully to understand any problems with the home and get the necessary repairs made.
